12 Kasım 2014 tarihli basın açıklaması ile Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc® organizasyonu  12 yıldır isim sponsoru olan The North Face® markasıyla yollarını ayırdığını açıkladı.
Hemen akabinde, ikinci bir basın bülteni dağıtıldı ve 2015 yılında Columbia Sportswear Company grubu altındaki üç markanın beraberce ana partner olacağını açıkladı. Bu markalar: Columbia, Mountain Hardwear ve Montrail. Mountain Hardwear Genel Müdürü Topher Gaylord‘un bu konuda büyük etkisi olduğunu düşünüyorum. Zira kendisi 2003 yılındaki ilk organizasyonda, projeye en başından beri destek veren The North Face® tarafında pazarlama müdürü olarak görev yapıyordu.

Columbia (genel giyim ve ayakkabı), Mountain Hardwear (teknik kıyafet ve ekipman) ve Montrail (arazi koşu ayakkabıları) markaları UTMB’de nasıl görünecek, marka iletişimlerini nasıl paylaşacaklar ? Bunu bekleyip göreceğiz. Ama kesin olan şu ki, Avrupa’da pazar payı görece ufak bu üç marka (özellikle Montrail), Avrupa’da önemli bir pazarlama ve bilinirlik hamlesi yapıyor. Rekabet genelde iyidir, umaraım burada da olur. Hatta belki bakarsınız, Columbia Türkiye distribütörü ithal etmediği bu iki kardeş markayı ülkemize getirmeye başlar…

A new start for the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc®
As of today the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc® is proud and happy to welcome three new brands from the Columbia Sportswear Company – Columbia, Mountain Hardwear and Montrail – into its Partners Club. These three brands share the spirit, enthusiasm and passion which are all part of the event’s DNA. Their intention is to be highly involved with the development of the UTMB® event 2015 (August 24th-30th) and beyond.
