BD Storm combines ease of use, lightweight , long battery life and high output with fair price and durability. I came accross this head lamp while searching for one for my UTMB TDS ultra trail. It is built for the long-night-warriors that need day light during some precise moments. Climbing and technical mountain use seems to be prior in its design as it does not have the over-the-head band, but it comfortably stays on your head when you run all the night.

With single Triple power LED, use beam 70mts, the two side LEDs works upto 50 hours. 2 LED powered redlight mode switch on/off without cycling into the white light mode. The single button smothly manages all modes, including the 6 second switch to lock mode for packing into the pack. I loved that! Protected against water immersion down to 1 m (3.3 ft) for 30 minutes (IPX 7)
Ultra maratonum boyunca gece etaplarında Triple Power LED sayesinde çevremdeki çoğu yarışmacıdan daha uzağı daha fazla aydınlattım, dik ve bozuk zeminli inişlerde çok rahat ettim. 30 gr daha hafif olmak için saatlerce sefil olmaya hiç gerek yok!
During the long night on my ultra marathon, I beamed longer and brighter than most of the runners around me with the Triple Power LED. That made me move faster, esp. during the decents on un-even ground it made huge difference. It does not make sense to be 30grs lighter but blind in the dark!
